Dentistry is a medical science that deals with the study, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the teeth, jaws and other organs of the mouth.

As medical science dentistry emerged recently - less than one hundred years ago, in the 20s of the twentieth century. This happened as a result of the merger of Maxillofacial Surgery and Dentistry.
