Florida is a state situated in the southeastern area of USA. The state is located near the Gulf of Mexico, to the south from Georgia & Alabama, and geographically is a demi-island. It is one of the populous states in USA. The biggest city is Jacksonville. The capital of Florida is Tallahassee. Miami is a famous seaport town and touristic place in the south.

Miami officially became a town in July 28, 1896, when there lived about 400 people. In 1940, there was about 172 thousand people. According to the 2000 year there lived more than 362 thousand. But with it's district, there is 5.4 million people.

The largest concentration of international banks in the United States is presented here, there is also the headquarters of many large companies of national and international level.
