Arkansas is a state of the southern United States, belongs to the state of the Southwestern Center. The population of 2,937,979 people (32 th place among US states, data 2011). The capital and largest city - Little Rock.

In the south of the State of Louisiana is bordered by the west to Texas and Oklahoma, on the east by Mississippi and Tennessee in the north to Missouri. The US Census Bureau classifies as the southern state of Arkansas, sub-southwest central states. The state of Arkansas is rich in water bodies - rivers, lakes, reservoirs. All of them belong to the Mississippi River basin. The main tributaries of the Mississippi River is the Arkansas River, White River and St. Francis.
